Padmé knew there was something going on with the younger Anakin in relation to school. Anakin wasn't exactly the sort to follow every rule - or many rules, really - due to a notable lack of fear. That didn't mean she was okay with him having a structure lacking rules, nor was she okay with him doing as he pleased simply because he was Anakin Skywalker. The Land of Make Believe dictated that things had to be different on some level. He wasn't a Jedi in training under Master Obi-Wan anymore; Obi-Wan was a man struggling with a great many issues and a future that would seemingly be inevitable, but could be anywhere from in a moment to years and years down the line. Rather, Anakin was in the care of his elder stuff and her.

Padmé knew it was an unusual setup and she wasn't the younger Anakin's mother, by any means, nor would she ever try to take Shmi's place. That didn't she didn't care for the young man's state of well being. She wanted to help Anakin in his transition into a new lifestyle. She knew it would require some adjustments. Still, she was hopeful that he would be able to have a good and happy life.

When Anakin didn't come to the rooms after school ended, Padmé found her mind wandering to the young boy. After too long, she asked Anakin where he was; since he didn't seem to be at Luke's, and thus was either with a friend or on his own, she set off to go have a talk with him.

"Anakin?" Padmé's voice was gentle, patient, when she found him sitting on his own. It didn't take being force sensitive or even a former politician to see that with his body language, he seemed unsettled. Then again, when didn't a pre-teen or a teen seem unsettled? Still. "Can we talk?"
