Peter Parker ([info]arachnophile_) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
"Uh... yeah," Peter replied, hoisting his bag a little higher onto his shoulder from his postiion stood awkwardly behind Anakin. Or Mr Walker. Or whatever it was he was supposed to be calling the man today. Peter had navigated the social minefield by simply not referring to him by name.

He had been listening. Well, mostly. Some of the time. There may have been a few moments when he'd got distracted by the girl a few seats along or something really boring wandering past the window, but really he'd been listening. Or, at least, he'd hauled his attention back every time and had managed to latch back onto the trail of the lecture. He wasn't completely sure everyone else in the hall had been as lucky. If Peter hadn't had a natural knack for the subject, occasionally stepping past the line of 'geeky' and into 'freakish genius', he supposed he may have been one of those people looking completely lost.

Still, towards the end he'd found his focus and followed without much problem, frowning and chewing distractedly on his pen lid when something didn't add up. And Peter didn't like stuff that didn't add up, so here he was.

"I was just wondering... when you were talking about the analysis of frames and machines..." He took a few steps closer, eyeing the scribbles on the board in the few seconds before they were wiped off. "Can you take me through how you'd develop a strategy to apply the equations of equilibrium to solve for the unknowns?"
