Olive Penderghast ([info]gnomedownthere) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
This was, for Olive, the most adrenaline fueled experience of her life. She’d never been in a car accident before, and the quiet life in Ojai, California hadn’t afforded her any thrilling adventure outside of her imagination. Even living here in Make Believe, she had thus far escaped calamity. She didn’t quite know how to processes this. She nodded her head, because it seemed like the right thing to do. She was, after all, physically okay. Right? Then she shook her head, because that was also right. How did someone even deal with this?

She swallowed, breathed a few more lung-fulls, the oxygen was doing wonders for her now-chemical soaked brain.

“Physically, I’m okay… I think.” Her voice was shaky this quiet. She went back to checking over the parts of her body she could see, even if the few scrapes here and there weren’t registering. “I’m just… you know… never been through something like this… Are, uh, are you okay, you’re bleeding. Oh god-” She pressed her eyes shut, trying to get that feeling of the world rolling end over end around her out of her mind. But the darkness just seemed to make it worse so she opened them again. She nodded, swallowed again. “Yup, okay. What-” She usually knew what to do in situations, but right then, she really needed someone else to take the lead.
