Padmé shifted to free her hands, then reached for Anakin's nearest hand. She wanted to get some sense of contact and possibly attempt to comfort him. She didn't like seeing him upset; she was happier to know the truth, but she wished for positive things for Anakin. She wanted him to be able to be happy.

"I'm so sorry, Ani." It wasn't an easy situation to fix, either, or it likely would've been done. "Would - you be okay with me extending an invitation to him? It can be a matter lacking pressure. If he feels capable of coming - he can."
