It seemed like a very long time before she could hear anything going on in the room, but Dora stayed very still in her cabinet, careful not to make any noise. Sirius' nose was extremely good, and sometimes the girl could swear that his hearing was super good too. The older version of Dora would concur, though might perhaps wryly add that it was only good when he wanted it to be.
So when finally she heard someone come into the room, the littlest Tonks pressed herself against the crack that she had left herself. One eye, green this week because she felt like it, played look-out and swept over the area that she could see. Laughter nearly escaped, but she quickly clapped her hand over her mouth to try and stay as silent as she had previously been while watching Sirius poke around for her. Dora felt a little triumphant when he declared that he didn't see her in the room -- no, he didn't see her anywhere! Did that mean she had won? Maybe. But still she waited to see what her cousin would do.
Once he bounced onto the sofa, Dora broke into a wide smile. Now was her chance to get the up on him, of course! Slowly, she opened the cabinet door and tiptoed toward the sofa. She couldn't see but was hoping that his eyes were closed, indeed taking the rest he said he was going to take.
And then, without warning, she jumped up on the sofa with him and into his lap. "Hah! I got you this time!"
