Elphaba wasn't dreaming. Or if she had been it had spiralled off out of her consciousness before she had a chance to commit anything to memory. Still, when she eased back into the world of a living - a time when Elphaba naturally had less defenses up that usual - there appeared to be someone in the bed behind her. Elphaba gave a drowzy smile, half obscured by her hair, and traced her fingertips along the arm curled strongly round her waist.
"Well, it's been wonderful. You should probably leave before Jamie shows up," she joked, her fingers curling through his against her stomach. She wasn't quite sure when the point had come when finding a man in her bed who hadn't been there when she fell asleep wasn't completely terrifying. She wasn't quite sure when she became able to recognise Jamie by the feel of his chest against her back, either. But she was warm and comfortable, still half-asleep, and not in the mood to question things.
