Elphaba huffed and dropped her head down to hide behind her hair for a moment. She didn't know why this was happening to her. Couldn't things go right for once? But then, things had been dangerously close to enjoyable for a moment there. It was reassuring to have her paranoia verified. Elphaba stepped reluctantly away from Jamie's side pulled her sleeves down to cover her hands and crossed her arms around her middle.
"No," she admitted, meeting his gaze again with a frown. "I'm from Oz. He's from Earth." She nodded her head in the seated man's direction. "But what does it matter? Where did those things outside come from?" She paused, then glanced worriedly back at Jamie. "Can you help him?"
