Hi! How are you liking this new found ability?

I'm liking it a lot! I hope you don't mind me sending a message to you; I still don't know very many people here...

I don't mind at all. So long as you don't send me something at like, 3 AM just for kicks.

Have any more waffles since we last talked?

I promise I won't.

And no, I haven't. Though I think I'm closer to figuring out the recipe. That reminds me, have you ever had something called a marshmallow?

Unless it's an emergency of course, in which case text, call, send up smoke signals, etc, etc.

Do you have a waffle iron or a waffle-maker to make the waffles in? And I have. Did you have your first marshmallow? Ooh, you need to try smores.

Of course. And you can do the same.

No, I was going to try to make them using what I know from home. And I did. It was amazing! Did you know they come in different colors and flavors? And what's a smore?

Good to know.

Well, the waffle iron is what makes it have those dippy things in them. The little square patterns. And a smore is a toasted marshmallow (AWESOME) on a graham cracker with chocolate. The chocolate melts a little from the toasted marshmallow. I wonder if we could get the ingredients from the kitchen all call-down style and make them in one of the fireplaces.

Do you think I can purchase a waffle iron here? And a smore sounds amazing - I'm willing to try anything with marshmallows.

Uh, probably somewhere in town, yeah. Or the kitchens probably has one that they would let you use, tucked away somewhere. (I assume you are trying cooking in the kitchens and not over your fireplace?)

Marshmallows, over a fire, get all crispy on the outside and gooey and more fluffy on the inside. (Assuming you don't get them too close to the fire and have it catch on fire, of course.) Roasted marshmallows, alone, are something you need to try. The smore part is just achieving perfection.

No, I've still been cooking over the fireplace. The kitchens just don't feel like real kitchens to me...

They sound delicious! What flavor marshmallows are you supposed to use for smores? I like plain the best - the big ones!

You should post something to the network and ask if anyone can give you a basic lesson in modern kitchen equipment. Even if you decide you like over the fireplace more, it wouldn't hurt to learn.

Any flavor you want, I guess, but the plain are good. You just have to roast the big ones for a little longer because otherwise the middle doesn't go gooey like it should.

That's a great idea, thank you.

What day would you like to try making smores? If we can get the ingredients, of course.

How about Friday night? We can do a sleepover in my room, if you want. (Whee no roommate!) There are some movies down in the library, so we can grab a few to watch, try making smores, and I can show you a few more computer games if you want to see.

Friday night sounds perfect. And you'll have to explain to me what movies are before we watch them.

Oh. Right.

Okay, I'll pick some out and have them ready for Friday. I can show you.
