Tea isn't really much of a surprise to see. He's British, most people think it's the preferred drink of Brits. The sweater is a surprise. He has one exactly like it back in London and there's no way anyone could know that. It could be a coincidence, but then there's the cup.

To his knowledge John hasn't been wronged by anyone here which means no reason for an apology. But there is a very long list of people from home that would have reason to apologize to him. Not Mrs. Hudson. This isn't really Mycroft's style, or Lestrade. The 'boys' from the don't notice things like that, too focused on other things when they're around.

It can't be. Can it? John's not sure what to do with the idea that Sherlock might possibly be alive and here. Which is why he finds himself sitting in the private living space next to his bedroom, staring at the items that are placed on the table.
