I'll send Sima to curl up with you! She'll get you warm in no time.

Or I can take you out to the lake again, any time you wish.

Quite well! I'm nearly finished with your dress. I'm making a cloak as well so you've got something warmer for when the weather turns.

i would like to see sima anyhow, just to see sima.

you must get tired of being inside. perhaps next time you go out, or after you have finished my dress? you did say you would try to help me with learning to walk a bit once that was done.

a cloak? i am not quite sure what that is, but thank you.

I'll send her up. She'll enjoy the company and I'll be able to finish up the tricky bits without having her underfoot.

I do get tired of being inside, aye. I should have your dress done by tomorrow morning, so perhaps we can try a walking lesson then?

A cloak is a garment that goes over the rest of your clothing to keep you warm and keep rain or wind off.

i would enjoy that. tomorrow morning, then.

I shall hope it is sunny so we can enjoy the warmth. I know Sima would like to nap in the sun.

A little, aye. The construction is simpler, but the principle is the same.

the water would likely warm up a bit with some good sun, too, in the shallows. it would make it a tad more pleasant.

a man who said he is a wizard expressed that there are plans to put a pool in, but he did not know much about what type and i did not want to press.

i will be curious to see it, then.

An odd thing to use magic for, but a practical one, at least. I'll keep an ear out for any more news about it.

i am not sure i would go in it, since that would reveal myself to anyone nearby, but it would be nice to have water closer to the area anyhow.

he said he was not evil, so i figure that alone is a good thing. i have not had the best experience with magic users in the past. it is good to know they may be different here.

Aye, that's understandable. Sima and I could keep watch for you if you wanted to, perhaps.

The magic users here do seem to be different to the ones I know of. It's heartening to think that not all magic is malignant.

if that is an option that might work, i would appreciate it.

i suppose it is part of not all humans being evil, as i had thought possible before... yet wondered about.

They seem fairly benign here. Some of them are overly-privileged and don't understand what life is like for those not born into power, but overall the other residents seem all right.

there was a man who seemed to be insulting everyone a bit back. i figured most here are good since everyone seemed to respond to him negatively.

i did not either.

though i read what others said. not a lot to do here, anyhow, other than try to read.

Perhaps soon there will be more to do. Learning to walk may help with your options.

Sima and I go out into the forest a fair bit, when she can smell things. I'm considering doing more handcrafts, but much of what I was taught requires material I can't make myself.

Cotton, wool, that sort of thing. My granddame taught me to weave when I was thirteen in an attempt to keep me out of trouble.

Oh, aye - Grandsire's hair, once.

Some of the other warriors know how to weave with reeds and the like, but I was never around the right sort of water source to find the right kind of reeds.

i will have to look to see if there is any type of weed growth in the lake that would prove an appropriate replacement for seaweed. maybe you could check the shores for reeds, or have you done such already?

if there is a viable weed growth, i can show you how to weave weed if you want. i do not know how well it would do with drying, however.
