Helena Wells-Quinzel is H.G. Wells ([info]indelibleink) wrote in [info]makebelievecomm,

Early in the morning, Helena made like a ninja with these deliveries. Except Tracey's was delivered by other means given she's not in the castle, but hers arrived in the morning as well. There is a note with each of them that reads "Whether you celebrate or not, I thought some chocolate would be thoughtful. Happy Valentine's Day. ~Helena"

Photobucket

[*OOC: I THINK I included everyone that's friends with Helena? If I missed someone, PLEASE let me know and I'll add them in because hell if I can keep straight how many people Helena talks to on a regular basis. She has a tendency to accumulate more friends than I can keep up with. So if anyone was left out, it's my fault, not hers because she remembers!]

There is a card with the flowers that simply reads "Happy Valentine's Day. I love you. ~Hel." There is also a box of chocolates accompanied by a pack of Twizzlers.

Truer words were never spoken. Chocolate is almost one of those reasons to believe in a god. Almost.

If you wish to give it a strict definition, it is. But it is also a day for celebrating love of all kinds, including that of family and friends.

Hah. I don't know what signals I could've given off over that. No idea at all. Nope.

There's a new techie at the castle.

Also, have a happy Valentine's.

It's like you have genius/government agent level guessing skills.

Yes. I actually met him when he was here before. But he was a jerk/kind of crazy first time around. I'm guessing castle weirdness? But he's special ops (I've verified by checking the internet and finding his "fictional" counterpart.) I told him about the show, so if some guy (or girl right now) acts familiar with you that's why.

Thanks.

I credit a keen mind and having been good friends with Arthur Conan Doyle for that.

He was here before? Intriguing. Though I shall certainly keep that in mind should someone act in such a manner. No doubt it is refreshing to have another techie about.

You are most welcome.

Would you want to watch some Sherlock based stuff once we finish Star Trek, or would that be too weird? I know there's a modern America based Sherlock tv show. Pete's ex, or the actress, was just on it.

Is it bad to hope something not go sucky around here? Not-jerk-techie friend sounds great. And I'll need someone to hide behind when you go wedding crazy.

No, that would not be strange to me at all. I would love to see Sherlock brought to life, so-to-speak. An America based Sherlock? That is rather an oddity, though sounds intriguing.

Of course it is not bad to hope for that. I am quite confident that you are not the only one who holds such a belief. Are you saying you will be afraid of me in such a mode? Though really, I have no idea what even goes into planning a modern non-Anglican wedding. Though I need to get through the proposal first, let's not get ahead of things here.

>> Sherlock is living in New York with his sober companion, former doctor Joan Watson. I also have an episode of The Mentalist where Todd's actor played a killer (he's now on Glee) and a few other miscellaneous with home-people. A generation of Star Trek we haven't reached yet has Pete's young mom as the Captain, but we could skip that if you want.

>> Yes. And there's more material on how to plan weddings and raise kids and file taxes than anything else in existence, probably. There's more than a little you could indulge in once you get past the proposal.

>> When are you proposing?

>> I thought it would be fitting. Even if I am nervous about marriage. I never thought of myself as the marrying type until now. Then again, the ability of two women being able to marry greatly affects my vision of that. There was no way I was going to be some powerless figure to be controlled by a man.
