Severus, the full moon is tomorrow. Please let me know when and where to meet you in order to get the final dose of my wolfsbane potion for this month.

And as always, thank you. I greatly appreciate this.

I could bring it by your room if you like.

You needn't thank me. I much prefer making potions for you than fielding "text spam" from Potter and Black.

I'd appreciate that, thank you. It's already been arranged that I don't have to work on the dates of a full moon.

"Text spam"? Oh Merlin... what are those two doing this time? And I'm guessing you mean James, and not Harry.

It's no trouble.

Of course I mean James. They seem to have taken a hint and commenced ignoring me after the first volley that followed their arrival. Unfortunately, I fear it is only because they have found more interesting subjects to bait. And just because I refuse to rise to their taunts doesn't seem to have changed the intense distaste I have for them.

Not to mention Lily seems to have some strange idea that we ought to be close friends, and I just can't see that causing anything but trouble if she continues to pursue a relationship with James.

But you don't need to take on my burdens. You've enough of your own.

Still, I appreciate it. You're under no obligation here to brew it for me, especially since the arrangement was between Dumbledore and your older self. And seeing as how Lily is my roommate, I know she would no doubt be grateful as well.

It's been very odd for me to have them here. As much as I missed my old friends, seeing them act the way they always have just further reminds me what prats they could be as kids. Maybe it's because I'm much older now. But then again, the adult Sirius from back home acts very much like his younger counter part when the mood strikes.

Lily should know by now that that'll never happen. The best we can all aim for is civility when it comes to James, Sirius, and yourself. Thankfully a young Peter isn't here to be their constant cheerleader.

In a way, I do feel it's partially my burden. I rarely spoke up against them when we were younger. It was wrong of me, but at the time I was just happy to have some friends who were accepting of me and my secret. I doubt that James and Sirius will listen to me. But for what it's worth, at least you will have on less Marauder to worry about in terms of pranking and aggravating you.

I'll be glad when they reach the point of pretending that I simply don't exist.
