[Lance]

I'm in a city from Star Wars. I have to say, beyond an impressive array of technology it hasn't done all that much to win me over. The people are rude, even by my standards. And I have sunburn. But on the plus side, I've collected a lot of data on hyperdrive propulsion that may help my work when I come back.

[A minute later]

I hope they didn't move you anywhere too awful. I miss you.

[Claudia, Johnny, Spock]

Wherever you all are, I hope there's not sandstorms.

Claudia, whenever we're back in the same place I've memorized some schematics you might find interesting.

No, no sandstorms! Just wax figures and T-rex that liked to play fetch.

I've been living in a museum, part of a Pop Culture exhibit. The days were pretty boring, being as we were wax figures that couldn't move, but nights, that place really comes to life, let me tell you.

That's so unfair! That sounds so much better than Star Wars land. Everyone there was just obsessed with kiling each other. It was chaotic.

Which museum was it?

I think it was called Mos Eisley? It was in a desert and there were two suns and various species of intelligent life that appeared to enjoy shooting each other more than doing anything productive. I got sunburn on my nose.

I've never been. And you were a waxwork? Weren't you worried about melting yourself?

Nope. Didn't have my powers there. I was just a representation of myself, from the popular 1994 movie.

Yes... A lot of people here seem to be some kind of fictional representation. I think it's a pattern.

Well, you're not fictional where you come from, are you? And it doesn't really change anything that's happened to you.

I was a secondary character in mine. That's annoying.

No, I guess I'm not. It was weird, though, being in New York, but not really existing there.

I suppose it would be.

Try not to let it bother you too much. People can get very funny about it.

Good to know.

Did you know there's a boy called Bobby in the castle who can manipulate ice and water?

I don't fancy his chances, somehow. Not when I could just melt anything he's got.

Wonder if he needs a job.

Maybe. He's quite young, I think. But I suppose it's worth asking.

Don't worry. You're still my favourite test subject.

You're very welcome.

Ooh? You do know how to catch my attention.

Did you go to that museum too?? Johnny sounds like he loved it there.

I try. Mostly odd hyperdrive propulsion systems but I'll show you when I next see you.

I did. It was worth loving. Outside of the night guard and one day where irritating kids toured the museum and messed up the displays, it was pretty awesome. It wasn't just our exhibits that came to life at night, it was all of them. They had three floors worth of exhibits that were suddenly just walking, flying, and swimming around.

Where did you go?

Did you have any enlightening conversations with historical figures?

Mos Eisley. Apparently Anakin grew up there. It was some kind of space port with very little in the way of proper government.

None that I would label enlightening.

Uh, have you seen the Star Wars movies? What kind of nerd is Lance if he hasn't shown you the Ahh, a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Shame. You could have written a tell-all book.

Eh, don't have the attention span for it. (Plus, who would've believed the story?)

I imagine it was like a trip to the beach without the beach. Still, that had to be pretty cool in the figurative sense.

I just asked Anakin and he said that works.

We should get Ron Weasley to give things a try soon, too.
