Are you still you today? I went into work early. I think I might be here overnight.

I'm still me. And you know me, so you're still you. Which is very comforting.

You okay?

I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be? I think it's fascinating. Although I expect others don't share that view.

You?

It seemed as if maybe the others who don't share your view might be frustrating you. If not, consider it an erroneous observation.

I'm fine. Worried about friends, but otherwise fine.

Oh, I'm used to that. Don't worry about it.

How are they?

Just remember you're dealing with people, not rats in a lab.

If you need help just let me know.

Dealing directly with this latest bout of abnormality.

Ugh. You don't have to tell me that. Rats are quieter and much easier to train.

[After second text]
Have many changed?

There doesn't seem to be a common point of deviation anywhere.

Honestly? I still prefer people. I still find them easier to deal with.

[A moment later]
Just a few.

And I wouldn't think there would be. We are not all from the same place.

And that is the fundamental difference between us.

[A moment later]
But that suggests everyone has their deviation point selected as part of an independant, conscious decision. Why would that happen? To cause drama, perhaps, seeing as we're apparently put here for someone's entertainment. But then how can you manipulate the crossovers of alternate realities to such a degree that you can chose which version appears? There's a million possible combinations. And we don't even know its a conscious effort at all, really, so I suppose it might just be chance that happens to have everyone switching at the same time. Or a shift in this universe thats making it vulnerable to

I don't know. I need to work on it.

That's alright. The world needs physicists, too.

[A moment later]
I think the deviations are random, but I don't think it's chance they are all showing up at the same time.

Well, I'm glad you think so.

[A moment later]
I'm going to make a spreadsheet. And a mind map.
