[Text to Andromeda]
Wotcher, mum! Let's have lunch.

[Text to Remus]
Hey, we should meet up for our Serious Discussion.

[Text to Teddy Jr.]
Hey Sprog-lite. I have a question for you - What's brown and sticky?

[Text to Teddy Sr.]
Okay, okay! Wotcher, Teddy? Okay! What has a bottom at the top?

[Text to John Watson]
No mysterious 'I have your kid' announcements this time. Just wanted to know if you checked out those books. Aren't they the best?

[Text to Sirius the Prude]
Oy! So I find out you're not a psychotic murderer and then you pretend I don't exist? You need to make this up to me.

Anyway, you can have a go if you don't tell your Mum. Cos she thinks its a deathtrap and I don't want to be glared at.

Alright, this is a bit weird, but... well, put it this way;

You know how my name is John Watson?

I'm an army doctor who was invalided home from Afghanistan. My flatmate, both here and back in London before we ended up here, is called Sherlock Holmes, and he's a consulting detective. We lived in 221b Baker Street, and just a few months ago we solved a case out in Devon about supposed sightings of a demonic dog supposedly escaped from Baskerville military base.

Obviously some of the details are a bit different but... I'm sure you can see why those stories made me uncomfortable.

Whoa! But you said you're from my future, and those books are from way in my past! That's wicked weird.

Two versions of my son are here, so as you can see this place seems to be weird like that.

Yeah, it is a bit weird. I read the first volume of stories and there's quite a few similarities to my own life, but there's quite a few differences as well, not the least of which is the fact that I'm not from the late 19th century. Sherlock and I also discovered an animated film telling the same same story, but with... mice. I think that one was a bit harder to swallow than the books.

Two versions of your son? Is this the kid you've yet to have with the bloke you were trying to text before?

Wowza! But, animated film = awesome. I want to see that.

And yes, two versions of him. They're usually running around fun colored hair, say 'hi' if you see them.

[A moment later]
So you're like some kind of future version of Dr. John Watson - that is so cool! Can I meet you in person.

That's mad. Makes me feel a bit better about things, at least everyone here has to put up with a world that makes no bloody sense.

[A moment later]

Bit weird, hearing someone talk about me like I'm famous. I mean, I suppose I'm well known back home as well, but people there were mostly just interested in Sherlock.

I don't see why not, though. Fancy going for drinks?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I can't really wrap my head around any of it, but things were a bit... not good at home, so I'm sort of glad I'm here anyway.

[A moment later]

Next week would be fine. I'm free all the time really, unless I manage to get a job I'm trying for. Sherlock will may complain, but Sherlock will just have to live with it.
