Apparently? I don't know.

Have you talked to her yet?

Not in person, no.

[Sent a moment later]
And not without her refusing to tell me her name and implying I was lying about being Remus Lupin.

She wouldn't tell me her name either, she thought I was a kidnapper. I don't think I'm going to tell Teddy just yet.

Likely wise. Nymphadora probably needs a little time to settle in and realise the castle isn't full of kidnappers before a reaction from Teddy.

I don't even know if I'll explain to her myself, but then I may have accidentally done so before knowing who she was.

Merlin, this place.

Are you going to be alright?

Me? Yeah. But you know I have to be. How ungrateful would I be to be upset about this? I'd rather have you both this way then never at all. Positive thinking and all that.

[sent a moment later]

I'm going to try to teach some of the younger wizards the art of charms.

The mind and feelings don't always line up, but good for you if you can put a positive spin on this.

[Sent a moment later]
I also read that. Do you have any plans on how you're going to organise things?

Thanks. I'm going to see what books the library has first but if they don't have the practical charm casting books we had back in Hogwarts I'll have to see what Aunt Hermione has at her shop. Then I'll just take it a chapter at a time, see how well the children take to it.

Do you w You may I hope things go well with that. Good to learn things where they can from someone qualified, since we're without Hogwarts.

This may be a very strange question, but... how would you organize it? I mean, you did end up teaching later in life, do you have any ideas now?

I'm still a little baffled how I end up teaching.

That said, I think I would be inclined to start off with something extremely easy after going over some of the basic wrist movements with them without wands. A lack of confidence or extreme excitement leading to flicking and swishing instead of swishing and flicking could result in a trip to Madame Pomfrey at Hogwarts, so best to keep them out of the muggle doctor's office here.

After figuring out basic levels for assessment and getting kids comfortable with their wands, I think it may be more clear how to organise it. If there are notable gaps in starting point abilities and enough students, perhaps split into two classes and go over the very fundamentals at speeds that work for each group. I think you will be able to tell that part readily for yourself.

[Sent a moment later]
And if there's one or two more accident prone, perhaps get a "teacher's assistant" to be nearby for lessons in case of mass flamingo outbreak?

I'm not baffled in the least! You're pretty good with all of this! I'll definitely start there with the wrist exercises... do you want to help assist at all?

[A moment later]

I mean, if you ever have the time. Other wise I could probably ask.. Aunt Hermione, or Lily Luna. I'll be helping Kelelios mostly, too, but she doesn't do wand magic is the problem.

I can help if you want and none of the guardians of the children would object. The same bias may not exist here, but no point in causing problems if someone has an opinion otherwise. Hermione or Lily Luna would be wonderful assistants, I'm sure.

[A moment later]
Wandless magic or primarily potion based?

Sure, I'll ask but you know, I'll vouch for you.

[A moment later]

I'm not sure, I think maybe both. I can do wandless a bit too, but that took years to get used to.

I know, but I would rather kids get a good education in regards to their magic than be held back. Even just a subtle inquiry may be appropriate, regardless of who is helping, to ensure that the guardians don't object to their child being around a specific adult.

[A moment later]
You can? About how much?

Okay, I'll inquire and let you know.

Oh, nothing too special. I've learned to do basic charms for levitation and very short distance summoning charms. I can stun and make fire but sometimes the fire, wand or not, doesn't seem to like me much and gets too big. Also I could do an excellent charm in wiping a memory cold with just my hands that I'm very proud of but it's hard to do and I prefer to do it with a wand.

Okay.

Wandless magic isn't a common talent, Teddy. That's quite notable. And use of wand for memory charms is likely advisable, regardless, given how delicate that could be.

She'll be okay once she's had a bit of time to settle. I've done my best to explain everything to her, but you know what it's like when you first arrive.

Have you spoken to little Teddy about it?
