The package contains a long chiffon shawl in a midnight blue colour, embroidered with silver leaves and winter blossoms. The silver thread shimmers through the spectrum when it moves. As well as the shawl, there is an ornate perfume bottle, again in dark blue and with a large glass stopper in its lid. On the front, surrounded by scroll work and clear crystals, sits an enamelled dragonfly. Underneath all of this is a handwritten note: , Keleios,
I hope you can forgive me for my terrible lack of manners in leaving the castle early on Christmas morning, and my absence since then. However, I was awoken by something in my room and, on inspection, I discovered that I had been given a copy of my own story. I should have at least stayed to thank you for your most generous gift and I hope you will accept my very heartfelt appreciation for such a fine present.
I didn't waste any time in leaving the castle and have spent the days since then trying to find somebody who could read me back. Alas, I have had no success in that endeavour, and so I have today returned to the castle, but not before finding a gift for you to wish you belated but sincere good tidings and also to convey my gratitude for the times you were of help to me, which indeed you were.
Dustfinger
PS. The dragonfly's wings vibrate if you hum at the bottle. I hope it is acceptable to you even though it is empty, but I did not know your favourite scent.
