I think you helped more people than you let down, Selene. In fact, I don't think you let anyone down. These Reavers can't be considered a normal enemy.

Simon, I think you know what I am. I think others know as well, and that is why they wouldn't listen to me during the fighting. But the point is, I have six centuries of fighting Lycans. I thought I was better than I am, and people died. How can you say I didn't let anyone down?

No, you're great. I mean... Reavers aren't Lycans so while you're experienced with them, you've got no more experience than the rest of us with Reavers. You're still doing a lot better than most. I'm only still here because they can't see me when I'm doing supply runs. You actually face up to them.

Reavers are only human. Easier to kill than any pack of Lycans. They don't seem to use explosives, and I think that's what it would take to kill me, if even then. I don't risk that much.

But there must be a reason so many wouldn't listen to me. Now, after the way I ended up fighting the reavers, they can't help but fear the monster in their midst.

And there is no way I can make some sort of a tradeoff, people saved balanced against people I let die.
