Though Thea had already been back in town a few days now, she'd taken great care to stay out of the way of running into anyone in her family — a feat quite easier said than done when a majority of said family were supernatural creatures; if they didn't run into her throughout town, surely they'd pick up on her scent somehow, right? Luckily, the only person that had known for sure was Talia, both because she was an Alpha and it was her job to know who came in and out of her territory, but also because Thea had phoned her amidst the panic of packing up her car with as much as she thought to bring along.
Sleep had been elusive these last few days, not simply because she'd been staying in a hotel room to keep her distance - honestly the bed back in her dorm room was more comfortable than that lumpy mattress - but because she kept replaying details from the vision she'd had every time she closed her eyes. That was the whole purpose of her returning, and yet, she still shied away from it. There was a part of her that didn't want to accept it for what it was, though she knew by now that they weren't simply dreams and actually needed attention paid to them. It was scary to think that there were people out there capable of bringing about such harm and chaos, especially when innocent parties were involved.
Another part of Thea was thrilled to be surprising her family, however, and she'd opted to take a taxi to arrive on her own rather than being picked up by her mother. She tried to make it down as much as she could during the holidays or breaks she had, but she'd been so busy with midterms and trying to figure her own stuff out, she felt somewhat guilty for having been mostly absent over the last year she was away at college. Still, setting foot on familiar ground was already settling the queasiness of her stomach, and after hitching the straps of her bags higher onto her shoulder, Thea moved toward the front door with a single-minded purpose. She didn't know what to anticipate walking through that door, but the moment the wood parted from the frame to give way to that oh-so-familiar-and-greatly-missed delicious aroma of her parents' cooking, Thea practically sighed in relief. "Hello!" she called from the doorway, careful to gently drop her bags out of the walk way and close the door behind her. She was quiet in nature, but with enhanced hearing, someone was bound to pounce her any minute.
