Colin + The Desert Wolf
She swore to herself that she would never interfere. From the moment she was forced to give up her twin babies, Maria told herself that she had to stay gone, far away and out of their lives for everyone's benefit. She was not about to win any Mother of the Year awards, but she felt it was the right thing to do to keep them safe. As the first and only close call indicated, her life was one that was far too dangerous. If the attempt when the twins were a few months old had been successful... Dios. She couldn't bear to think of it.
However, that didn't mean that she was completely devoid of maternal instincts, limited though they were. She kept tabs on them over the years to the best of her abilities while still maintaining a cautious distance. The fact that both of her children ended up in the same small town in California within the last year intrigued her. Since then, she kept a closer eye on things. So when the Hale house burned down, it didn't take long before The Desert Wolf heard about it. She knew that was the pack that Malia had become part of. Through her local contacts, she learned that the Hales were an old and powerful pack of werewolves that protected this town of Beacon Hills. When she dug deeper, she was surprised to find out another connection, one she previously hadn't bothered to keep track of. There was no question about making a trip across the border then.
It has been a while since DJ Miz Murder showed up north of the border, but there were still enough fans of her work over the years that it wasn't difficult to get herself in to replace the DJ that was scheduled for the event. She left one of her remixes playing while she took off her headphones and hopped down from the DJ booth. With the large fire pit nearby, it was sweltering for someone whose body temperature naturally ran hot. Even the white tank top she wore wasn't enough to cool her down without a drink break. She'd walked over to the coolers nearby when she noticed someone who was distinctly older than a high school student, as the vast majority of this crowd seemed to consist of, spitting out a mouthful of beer. She managed to stifle her laughter as she observed this.
