"No. No, Scott, no. Your asthma is not psychsomatic." Melissa resisted the urge to beat her head against her son's chest and let out a deep breath before trying again.
"Scott, I know you've been more active lately, and I'm thrilled that you made first string, but you still need to have your inhaler with you all the time, even if you feel like you don't need it. Because one day you will and if you get out of the habit of carrying it, you won't have it when you need it."
It really was just a matter of time before it happened again, and Melissa couldn't believe that Scott was being so cavalier with his health.
"Do you even know where your inhaler is?" she suddenly thought to ask, and had a feeling that he probably didn't if he felt like he didn't need it anymore.
