"Maybe. We should make it a whole family affair," said Kate.
She has yet to personally see their cousin Angel in action yet. Admittedly, Kate was curious what the Argent from the other branch of their family tree could do. Clearly though, if she'd been able to help Allison take out the rogue omega a couple months ago, the girl could hold her own.
When Allison unleashed the bolt to hit the target, Kate cheered and applauded. "Damn, girl! That is some aim. We have got to get you hunting more. You're a natural!"
Imagining that kind of deadly accuracy on a werewolf or some other monster that goes bump in the night made Kate downright giddy. Perhaps that degree of natural talent was what Gerard saw in Allison that made him want to put her at the head of the family. There was no denying how capable her niece was. If Kate had to concede the position to anyone, she supposed Allison was a good choice. On the other hand, there might still be hope for Kate herself yet, she figured, if Gerard was successful in finding a cure for their secret shared condition.
"Just a little off-center, but that's no big. You know what they say about practice and perfection." Kate nodded at the crossbow in Allison's hands. "Let's try it again."
