Libby & Sean (before the fair)
[ooc: takes place on Sat 10/31 before this]
Libby was standing in front of her bathroom mirror, trying not to freak out. Although she had considered going for a more earlier seasons look for her Sansa costume, when she saw the perfect dress at Evangeline's during the shopping trip to Old Sacramento, she felt compelled to get it. Even if it ended up looking more Alayne Stone than strictly Sansa. When she tried it on in the dressing room, it only cemented her decision.
The temporary Reaper tattoo she got for Sean, straight off the FX online shop, was laid out on the island counter in her kitchen. The black leather jacket with the iron on patches was ready and waiting right next to it. Coming across the iron on patches were a stroke of luck. Fortunately, it meant she didn't have to put her rusty sewing skills to use. Having done a little tangential research in the course of her Googling for the right prop materials, it became clear that real-life motorcycle clubs tend to take their 'kuttes' quite seriously. So rather than going for a more authentic vest-style jacket, Libby went with a regular leather jacket with sleeves for the base. Even though it should be fairly clear from the insignia that it was from the TV show, Libby didn't want to chance getting into any misunderstandings because of the bottom rocker, especially now that she was living in California.
It was a good thing that she had the presence of mind to straighten and braid her hair as well as put on her makeupbefore squeezing into her dress. What seemed like a simple feat at the shop was turning out to be a lesson in contortion. The trick in keeping the front of the dress nice and smoothly unruffled was that the thin zipper detail was hidden beneath the tufts of feathery material in the back, which she was having trouble reaching by herself without ripping the delicate material of the dress. She thought she might have already felt more than heard some stitching pop beneath her arms from all the twisting she attempted. It hadn't been this difficult before. Then it occurred to Libby that she'd had the help of one of the dressing room women at the shop help her when she was trying it on at Evangeline's.
Just then, the knock sounded at the back door that served as the entrance to her part of the house, signaling Sean's arrival. "Oh shoot!" She wasn't ready. They'd agreed on his coming over to put on the back tattoo before the fair. And meeting Laura. Which was just now making her even more nervous. There was not much she could do without another pair of hands at this point, if she didn't want to wreck her costume. Keeping a hand pressed to her abdomen to keep the dress from slipping or the built-in corset from poking her unpleasantly in the ribs, Libby shuffled awkward to the door and pulled it open.
