It had been under Ed's suggestion that Reese pursue the performing arts. An idea that was meant to give a unlucky child an outlet to be something else, someone else, if only so long as the curtain was up. He had taken to acting, like a duck to water. Finding it a useful tool in selling himself to potential foster parents, but struggled with the long con.
The shadows were not quite as anonymous as they had been moments ago, as the good Samaritan made his appearance with a note of praise. Straightening from the near crouch, that for appearances sake looked as if he were fixing his boot -- a slight tilt of lips presented a smug line of arrogance. But heartbeat was a little fast, undecided if it was wiser to bolt and dump the costume or not.
"..No one suspects the obvious," a roll of shoulder administering a shrug in dismissal, but brown oculars were trained upon Peter. The eyes of a predator and prey, uncertain of the role he was meant to play in the current exchange.
