Libby + Sean + Laura
Libby was doing her best not to pace, but she's already had two cups of coffee before arriving to the fairgrounds. Typical of her, she dragged Sean out of the house and to the fair with a good twenty minutes to spare before the time they were supposed to meet up with Laura. Her best friend had been clamoring to meet her new "beau" for some time now. She was surprised Sean not only agreed to this meeting, but also to dressing up in costume and coming out with her for Halloween.
She couldn't explain for the life of her why she felt so jittery tonight. She figured it was due to nerves, but she couldn't even quite pinpoint why she felt so nervous. Laura loved her. Sean liked her. Logically, that meant they should get along with each other, too. Right?
In the back of her mind, she supposed she felt a little uneasy because she had talked to Laura about her theories on Sean's sexuality essentially behind his back. Laura was right. The person Libby should be having that discussion with was him, but she couldn't deny she had some serious reluctance around broaching that particular topic. For one, she didn't want to push him to talk about something that obviously made him very uncomfortable. Secondly, she wasn't sure what it would mean for him to either confirm or deny her suspicions. Each came with its own set of anxiety-inducing significance.
To supplement her caffeinated state, she shoved the remainder of her corn dog into her mouth. Real attractive, Harper. Meeting by the food seemed like a good idea at the time. Something about breaking bread together and glad hearts came to mind. At least she didn't think to get a funnel cake or deep fried Oreos or she'd be spiraling on a sugar high as well.
