Scott coughed, rubbing at his arm and wondering if he should have volunteered this information. "Somewhere I can afford." He wondered if Derek was thinking about that part. Scott didn't begrudge people that could afford college, or better yet, those that were smart enough to get scholarships - but he didn't fit in either of those categories. It was probably fair to say that he wasn't going to be able to afford the city someone as smart and determined as Lydia wanted to go to school in - which isn't so much fair as a statement of fact.
