Who: Derek and his pack [everyone invited here] What: Discussing college options to keep the pack together Where: Derek's loft When: Saturday afternoon, 1pm onwards Rating: Probably some language but otherwise low Status: Closed/In progress
The couches had arrived not more than an hour ago, and Derek had gotten them set up in the space he had decided would be the 'living room'. He loved that there were no walls in the loft though. It was so open and spacious and that appealed to the wolf inside who thrived in open spaces. The sectional couch (complete with floor rug and the center bit that Derek didn't know what to call it) was in the center of one end of the loft, with another couch nearby. Beside the end of the chaise part of the sectional was Derek's chair. It was tremendously comfortable and Derek loved it, even if it didn't recline like he was hoping for.
Pizza had been ordered, soda was chilling in the fridge, and now Derek was waiting for his pack to arrive. Pamphlets for a variety of schools in New York City and San Francisco were spread out on that weird not-coffee table thing, as they were the two cities that Derek had identified as probably their best options. San Francisco for if anyone really didn't want to go far from Beacon Hills and NYC because Derek knew it and it offered a LOT more options for everyone, and not just for school. He was open to other suggestions if someone had their heart set on somewhere in particular, but he was aware that this was going to be a contentious meeting and the likelihood of everyone going home happy was slim.
Shauna had already shown him that some tough love was going to be needed to be dished out to the pack before things settled down, and Derek was mentally steeling himself to do it. He was the alpha. He didn't want to be a dictator, but to a certain degree, his word was law and the sooner they learned that, the better. He was really beginning to understand just why his mother was the way she was. She had to be strict, because not only was she their mother, but their alpha too.
