Who: Derek and Shauna What: Shopping for a couch Where: A furniture store in Beacon Hills [The Dump, just pretend they have a Beacon Hills location] When: Friday afternoon Rating: Low Status: In progress
Standing in the living room section of the store, Derek surveyed the multitude of couches in front of them. It was an overwhelming selection, but there were many they could rule out without even looking at them. He was having to fight back his instincts to touch Shauna, not in a sexual way, but in a pack scent-marking way. She didn't smell enough like him or his pack yet, and that was bothering him, but he couldn't do anything about that here without looking like the world's biggest creep. He should have asked her to meet him at the loft first, he thought as he struggled to focus on furniture.
"Either it needs to be big," and luckily the loft was mostly a large expansive space and not divided into separate rooms, "or we get a couple of smaller ones, to make sure everyone has somewhere to sit." He quickly counted up pack members and allowed for a couple of extras, because life could be unpredictable. The number he came up with was large, but a lot smaller than the Hale pack, which made him tack on another two as he spoke. "So enough for around ten or twelve people should do it. And an armchair for me." Because as alpha, he was having his own designated seat, god damn it.
