"You could never overdo it," Erica assured him, coming forward to take one of the bags from him before leading the way inside. Despite the pizza not having arrived yet, her mom had insisted she think ahead and put out paper plates, napkins and cups on the coffee table in the living room.
"Variety is a good thing. Now we'll just have a lot of choices to go with the two pizzas I ordered." She grinned at him, though hers wasn't sheepish like his had been, and added, "So you're not the only one who may have overdid it. We've got one half Hawaiian and half veggie, then the other is the meat lovers." One pizza probably would have been enough for the both of them, but she'd been exceptionally hungry when she'd called and her mom had sighed but said yes when she'd covered the mouthpiece of the phone and whispered if she could order two.
Sitting on the couch, she peered into the bag she'd taken from him that was sitting in her lap, debating whether or not to put them in the fridge to keep them cold as she said, "So we don't have to watch Scream if you want to go through the DVR and find something better?"
