Thread: Puck and OPEN; Puck's job takes him dancing Date: Saturday, June 9 Characters: Puck, Open Location: Swish (a wizarding dance club in Manhattan) Warnings: language, most likely Summary: Puck follows a suspect into a dance club, and runs into someone he knows. Awkward.
Puck had been following this guy (Walter Grizlow) he suspected of being involved in trafficking cursed ladles all afternoon, trying to figure out how to get close to him, when finally he stepped into a dance club. Perfect. Well, sort of.
Noah wasn't so sure of the guy's preferences. He might need to call in some female back up. Getting close to Walter at a sports bar would have been easier. Just slip something in his beer, get him talking, and that would be the end of that. Dance clubs weren't really made for talking. He'd never been to Swish before, though. Maybe it was more of a classy cocktail sort of place.
Tapping his ID with his wand to switch it to his alternate identity, Noah Goldman, Puck approached the bouncer. "Hey," he said, giving the dude his best sultry grin. Didn't hurt to work his best angle. Of course, he could have shown his badge and demanded entrance, but that sort of defeated the purpose of being undercover, didn't it.
The bouncer gave him one glance up and down and then flicked his wand at the velvet rope, making it pull aside so Noah could get through. Freaking sweet.
"Thanks," he said to the bouncer before making his way into the club, which was just as loud and packed with dancing bodies as he'd feared. He didn't see Walter right away, so he figured he'd get himself a drink and then start making his rounds, hoping to run across him. He didn't expect to see someone familiar come up next to him at the bar.
