Maki was surprised when HeeChul looked back at her; her eyes automatically averted in embarrassment -- it was rude to listen in, after all -- but when she looked back at him it seemed he didn't mind in the least. She returned his smile with one of her own, hesitant.
She watched, eyes shifting between the two, one with the awkward but sincere smile, the other with a confident grin. It was fairly obvious HeeChul liked attention -- that crop of hair was a tell-tale sign. As for Tatsuya, he looked a little pale, if not gaunt, and fidgety. But of course she might be mistaken. Slytherins are, after all, experts in their craft; not to mention cultured and educated the pureblood way. Perhaps she should try mingling with them, too?
