After changing into more comfortable clothing -- a white jumper in place of the school uniform -- Maki began to move around her room, stacking her books and keeping her quills and parchment. It was a habit; immediately after class she went straight to doing her homework without changing, in hopes that she would not forget to submit any essay or experiment that the teachers have handed out. Only after would she bother to get out of the uniform.
The room she was assigned this year was not any different from last year, although she had to admit that now it seemed a little too stuffy for her own liking. Grabbing her latest read, The Mysteries of the Whomping Willow, the girl stepped out, but not before waving her wand over her things -- one can never be too sure -- and headed to the common room, the wingback chair nearest to her dorm room a welcome sight.
Maki noticed, though, that someone was sitting near the fireplace and upon further inspection, recognised it as their Prefect, Nishikido Ryo. With as little noise as possible, the small girl moved to her destination and sat slowly, doe eyes glancing warily around her -- only to find another person sitting in the common room -- before turning her attention to her chosen means of recreation. She could only hope that no one would disturb her peace; but knowing her dorm mates, it won't be soon until someone will. Maki could only hope that she'd progress at least a page or two.
