WHO: Cole and Open to Halliwells WHEN: Jan. 4 WHERE: Street in front of Phoebe's loft WHAT: His lunch break RATING: pg13
It wasn't that Cole didn't want to obey Phoebe's wishes for him to leave her and her family alone. But he didn't want her to lose someone she cared about. So he wasn't going anywhere but he was going to back off a little bit or well try to. He didn't want her thinking that he wanted to be with her again. Not that he didn't love her anymore. He did and he knew that no matter what in some way she loved him too. A love that was nothing more than it can ever be. She had another love, a family. He couldn't even remember having a family but he knew enough that he didn't want Phoebe to lose hers. So he did something that he knew that he would regret some day soon probably. He rented an apartment near Phoebe's. Maybe he'll be able to sense anything evil that tries to come near.
It was early in the day and he was walking down the street, eating a sandwich that he picked up. He had forgotten the case brief at his apartment. So he decided to run home on his lunch break. Which he made a little longer by decided not to drive or teleport home. It was nice out that day so he wanted to walk. He looked up at Phoebe's building, pausing a moment he closed his eyes trying to sense if there were any demons nearby.
