If Phoebe had any idea what kind of vanquishing potion to use, she might have. Or so she told herself. The truth was that she didn't have it in her anymore. When Cole was causing problems on a regular basis, she had worked up the courage to vanquish him again and again. This time was different. This time he had been gone for at least two decades. She couldn't help being a bit curious, even if she knew that sort of curiosity was what had gotten them - her mostly - in trouble in the first place. If she had just shut herself down, maybe she could have handled this differently, but Phoebe had always been more prone to following her heart than her sisters. They had wanted to vanquish him. In fact, Paige almost seemed adamant about it - then again, when hadn't Paige been adamant about vanquishing Cole?
"Oh, what's new, Cole? Every damn day of their lives my girls are at risk just for being who they are." As irritated as Phoebe sounded, the knife in her gut feeling twisted. Parker had been so distant lately. Her little Ladybug wasn't calling every day. When Phoebe did get a hold of her, Parker was cold and distant. She didn't open up. Something was definitely wrong with her eldest daughter, Phoebe just didn't want to believe it. And she didn't want Cole's help... especially considering this whole thing smelled similar to a million other situations they'd been in. How many times had Cole warned the sisters about rising evil that just happened to be himself? The stabbing pain in her stomach only got worse. "We'll deal with this like we deal with everything else, Cole. You know that's not why you brought me here, so just spit it out so we can get it over with and I can go back to my life - to my family."
