Phoebe turned around. She actually felt her heart jump into her throat. A part of her had been really wishing it was some hoax. Maybe a demon trying to trick her so they could kill her. That she could deal with. It would be no problem to vanquish a demon that was just some random name in the long list of evil that wanted her dead. But actually seeing Cole standing there brought up feelings that she had pushed far away a long time ago. She was really hoping that Coop didn't have his cupid-feelers out right now. The issue with marrying a cupid was that no matter what she was feeling, Coop knew it. It was hard to hide things from him. It had the potential to cause problems.
Just like everything else Cole did. He had been one gigantic black smudge in her life. And she really wished that she could forget he had ever existed, because seeing him standing their was like feeling a knife through her heart. Literally. It was like her heart was breaking all over again. Phoebe crossed her arms over her chest, taking a minute to try and get control over her emotions before saying something. She wanted him to see nothing but the cold and irritated demeanor... but honestly she knew better, the hurt look had crossed her eyes and no one could read her like he could.
"Cole, what do you want?" Down to business. Figure out what he wants and then go home. Or go to the Manor where Piper could make her comfort food and she could cry in peace without upsetting Coop.
