Julian wanted to give his sister all the time she needed to adjust. But it was obvious that she didn't need much. She was generally quieter than the rest of the family but that didn't mean that she was less able to handle herself. Parker was strong. She was strong and she was brilliant. Julian had no doubt that he'd made the right choice in revealing himself to her first. Penelope had a bleeding heart and would have taken him in, no doubt. But the first thing she would have done after that would be to run to Phoebe. No, Parker was the best choice.
Smiling a little Julian stood up. He pulled Parker with him, moving her over toward the fireplace where an ornate box was sitting on a nearby table. "Now, I have a gift for you." He hadn't intentionally made sure that he was following her vision. He wasn't even one hundred percent clear on what her vision had been like. He did know, however, that she saw him giving her that necklace and that had been his plan all along. He would win her over with shiny things if the rest of his plan didn't work!
Julian lifted the lid on the box and pulled out the necklace Parker had seen at least twice now. He undid the clasp and moved around behind her, dropping the pendant against her chest. "Lift your hair for me so I can do this up."
