Julian was patient. He didn't want to be, honestly. He wanted things to happen his way right this very second. But he knew there was no way he could convince Parker of their shared destiny if he pushed her into it. He needed to let her come to it on her own terms. And if that meant letting her remember her visions and go through the motions of being confused and over-whelmed, he would just have to deal with that. And that's definitely what she was doing. He could see the disbelief in her posture, even. It was oddly comforting, though. At least he knew she was seeing and remembering what he needed her to.
And better than that, she wasn't running. Now that she remembered, he knew she was opening herself up for some sort of psychic revelation. Parker was trying to sense everything she could about the situation. And that was okay. She was already far enough down the rabbit hole that he trusted she wasn't going to lash out at her if she caught a whiff of something she didn't like. She was taking everything slowly, but it was going better than he had imagined it would.
Julian took a step forward. As gently as he could, he reached out for her hands. "No, I know you don't. Not yet. I didn't expect you to. I just needed you to be open to it." Oh, he knew it was going to be an adjustment. And he knew she was going to need some time to think about it. But he also knew that she was primed for this kind of information. Even if she ran out that door right now, she wasn't going to tell mom or either of their sisters. His secret was safe for the moment, even if she didn't fully accept it yet. He knew she would eventually. She was too ready for a life outside of what she'd known.
"Parker, come sit down and we'll talk, okay? I'll tell you anything you want to know." He wasn't going to lie to her. The Source in him, the demon, it wanted him to. It was in his nature to lie. But if he was going to bring Parker into that world, she needed to know the truth. And he was going to bring Parker into that world. One way or another. He just hoped it was on her terms and not by force or something else.
