Julian was a tad worried. He had planned up to this point. And then just kind of skipped the middle part. The actual telling her the truth part. He just sort of hoped it would happen. She was smart enough to gather things together and figure it out for herself when he set the right clues in front of her. He'd gone so far as to give her the specific vision of his house and that necklace. He just hadn't figured out to get from this point to that one.
And she seemed very dazed. He was certain she had a concussion. That had to be it. But he couldn't do anything about it. Not right now. She didn't want people around. He wasn't going to risk pushing her away. So he just had to be patient. Patient and and tactful. His sister wasn't going to be receptive if he just drop things like a ton of bricks on her head. She'd been through enough jarring events lately.
"Well, let's go sit down in the study, then." The study. The one room in the house she had already seen. If that didn't bring her around to things, Julian was sure she'd never reach the right conclusion on her own. Julian slid his hand against the small of her back and led her down a shadowed hallway. He pushed the doors open at the end of the hallway. On one wall was the fireplace she'd seen. Across from it was a wall of books. To the right was a wall with another door, pictures and mirrors placed strategically. And to the left were the large windows, with drapes that would keep out all light if he wanted them to.
"Come on and let's sit down for a bit. You had an ordeal today." He spoke, but he was really just hoping she was putting two and two together at this point.
