Julian led Parker into the house. The whole place was decorated in dark tones. Everything had a very gothic feel to it. Just because Julian was supposed to be keeping up appearances didn't mean he had to live in a house that was all white-picket fence and pristine. He liked the less cheery side of things sometimes. Besides, it just looked cooler.
"I've got a room upstairs for you to lie down in." Julian waved toward the grand staircase near the front of the house. "I can get you something to drink if you want. Or something to eat." There was a bit of food in the house, just stuff he liked to munch on now and again. He was just trying to make her comfortable. His patience was running thin. He was excited to tell her the truth, but he wanted to make sure she was ready for it. It was just too exciting to him.
