Everything that passed by during the short drive was a mystery to Parker and to be honest, she didn't really care. All that was important was that the outside emotions had begun to ebb, drawing away like pouring water out of a glass. She was working so hard to push them all out that she was blocking any new ones from coming in. So it didn't even occur to her for it to be peculiar that she didn't feel her companion's.
Oh, to be alone! It was kinda blissful, the idea of not being bothered by anyone else. Granted, some might just show up to find her when they got news of her accident considering most of them could teleport, but hopefully that wouldn't be for some time. Solitude was a very underrated virtue. Perhaps she should save sleep for when the onslaught of worried relatives came flooding on.
She glanced up, opening her eyes when he spoke and took his hand to get out of his car. Call it strange, but she didn't find the prospect of being alone in his company such a bad thing, not at all. And she didn't want someone intruding on that. "I'm fine," she insisted, blinking a few times to try and steady her vision. It was getting better, but slowly. At least she could stand up without feeling like she would topple over to one side. "I don't need a doctor."
