Julian bit back a grin. She was either still in shock her he had done a much better job at pulling her away from humanity than he had expected. But he knew grinning at her right now was probably not going to help. So he bit his lip a little, shifting to get an arm behind her back and try to pull her out of the car. At the very least she needed to get out of the way in case the car caught fire or something. And he wanted to get her away from the scene before the ambulance showed up to take her to the hospital.
"Yes, you wrecked your car. It's car. You can get another one." In fact, Julian thought it was a piece of shit anyway. He was a snob when it came to cars. He'd get her a better one, but if he told her that now she might freak out a bit. He just had to choose his words carefully. And indulge her in whatever way she needed to be indulged. Parker wasn't that hard to read, not for him anyway. She was pretty honest about how she felt, especially lately.
Julian made sure she could stand before doing anything else. He hadn't planned for her to get hurt, but something had happened and he had to make sure she really wasn't. There were healers in the underworld, sure. But he didn't want to go there unless he absolutely had to. "Parker, the ambulance is coming. I can get you out of here if you want? Otherwise they're going to take you to the hospital and put you through all kinds of tests." And then the police would come, but he didn't want to mention that right now. Not so soon.
