Thezor had been planning this for months. Maybe even years. He had invested more time in this than anything else. His underlings were getting worried. His Seer was upset. And the Death Eaters weren't really respecting him for it. But everything would make sense when he finally got the results he was building for. His family was well known for embracing the dark whenever the opportunity arose. His mother had been the most feared woman in the underworld at one point. His sister would be, too. It was just going to take some time to draw her down here and let her adjust. But he was willing to wait. Julian wanted his family, and it was going to start with Parker.
No more than a week ago he had left a necklace similar to Parker's for Penelope to find. It wasn't quite as magical as Parker's, but it would get there. It was more a tool to lead Pallie to them when the time was right. But Parker would be instrumental in that as soon as Julian got her to the Underworld with him. And today was the day. She had isolated herself from the rest of the family. She was angry, she was cold, and she wasn't thinking clearly. It wouldn't be any problem at all to get to her.
The accident wasn't hard to set up. Thezor stood on the corner of a particularly busy intersection. Even in the rain people were driving with idiots. But he saw only Parker. She was coming toward the intersection carefully. The light turned red. She slowed down. And with a slight push of telepathy, Julian was able to knock her foot off the brake pedal. He nudge the car forward faster than it should have been, until it rammed right into oncoming traffic; right into the car of a woman with three children in the back seat.
