Sound was the last thing to return to her. It was as if her vision had been like a drug, something that had blindsided her. A powerful one too. It was different in the sense that she didn't just see it, but she'd felt it- felt his hand in hers, felt the chain resting around her throat, felt the warm pendant on her fingertips. Most importantly, she'd felt just how truly enchanting it had been, like being drunk, but without the crappy side effects alcohol provided. It had felt good.
But she had no brother. That's the thing that made the least sense. Why would she see this stranger handing over that piece of jewelry to her? At first, she'd could've easily reasoned she'd been seeing it through another's eye, another's feelings. But it was her she'd seen in the mirror. So yes, confusing. Utterly.
"What?" Parker hadn't quite heard a single thing he'd said, save the last bit. She sat one one of the chairs closest to her, one at his table. "No, um, no thank you."
She looked around, her head still swimming in the clarity of her premonition, trying to find the necklace she'd dropped. "I didn't lose it, did I? I'm so sorry!"
