Now, Julian wasn't psychic. He could push his thoughts into other people's minds, but he couldn't read other people's thoughts. He wasn't an empath either. But he didn't need to be to tell that his sister was grumpy. The look on her face said it all. But the way she lit up when she saw the necklace made him a lot happier. He actually had to focus in order to keep from overwhelming her. She might get suspicious if his happiness was suddenly too strong. But he was the Source, it was no problem to hold his emotions back from a witch, even one of his own blood.
Sweet? For now, sure. Julian didn't plan on keeping her that way, though. Smirking, Julian lifted the necklace a little bit. He dropped it in her palm. "It's a little heavy, but I think she might like it." If he did his job right (and he knew he had) she wouldn't even have time to hear what he had just said. The vision should take her over immediately the very second the necklace touched her flesh.
