God she was good. Julian was thoroughly impressed. He'd watched his sisters for a while now. He knew what all their powers were. He knew how good they were with them. Or so he thought anyway. Parker surprised him a little bit. It was pretty amazing. Here he thought he was on top of things. Well, he would just have to put his guard up a little bit more. Or mask it more. She was his sister, so he could very well throw his feelings of family ties up before his devious feelings and let her pick up on the good stuff first.
"Do I really look that happy?" Of course Julian knew it had nothing to do with how he looked. He knew Parker could feel his excitement. He was mere seconds away from the first step in the plot to take back his family. How could he not be? But he couldn't let Parker know he knew about her empathy. He had to feign stupid. This was just too fun.
Not letting Parker respond, because he was just playing the part of a giddy young man, he had to just keep talking. Julian grinned the biggest grin. Oh perfect timing, you are everything! Reaching into his pocket, Julian pulled out the necklace he had picked out especially for Parker. "I'm just getting to meet my sister for the first time today. I got her this necklace. I really hope she likes it." Julian paused, holding the chain out toward Parker. "What do you think about it?"
