penthea's plethora of nightmares WHO: Penthea & any Halliwell/Mitchell WHEN: Fri May 22, 3ish AM WHERE: Halliwell Manor, basement WHAT: Penny is trying to shut out the voices RATING: pg?
It never failed. Not once. The moment all the kids got out of school, Pen's nightmares flared up again. It probably had something to do with all the late-night rendezvous. Teenage emotions and crime ran rampant when they had nothing better to do. Idle hands are the devil's tools and all that. And every time someone's heart broke, or they got pulled over by the cops, or kicked someone in the face... Penthea felt every emotion from every party involved. She would wake up gasping, hands over her mouth to keep from waking up Porsche.
This particular night was a Friday night. Everyone was out making trouble. There was so much going on that Penny couldn't even pinpoint what she was feeling. And there was only one thing, with the exception of stripping her powers, that would make this go away. Or at the very least that would make it feel better. The Nexus. It was a spiritual catalyst, sure. But when Penthea sat on it, the Nexus stripped all of the negative things away and she could sit there in silence. Sure, she sat there with an overload of powers, but at least it was quiet and calm.
Grabbing her blanket, Penny orbed right into the basement of the Halliwell Manor. She called for the aspirin that Aunt Piper kept in the kitchen and the jug of milk from the fridge. Pen popped a couple of aspirin and curled up on the floor in the fetal position. She could feel the ebb and flow of the world, of magic, of everything. And the more she focused on the pull of the Nexus, the less she focused on the throbbing of her head and the pain of her empathy.
