"Except in your case you did get jinxed for not knowing when to keep your mouth shut," I retort.
She thinks I'm not a nice person? Oh, that's rich.
"We may not have talked directly all that much," I concede, "but being in the same club for about six months makes us more than strangers, I would have thought. Or maybe you don't care about that sort of thing. After all, it's not as if you've shown any great loyalty so far." I give her a look of disgust. "You're unbelievable. How can you stand there and call me mean when you could have got so many people in serious trouble?"
