I look away pointedly as Megan yawns, wondering if it would have been a better idea to have sat on the same side of the table as her. That way I wouldn't have to look at her showing us the back of her throat. Ugh.
"Do we need a pre-breakfast club?" I ask, hoping to stop another pointless conversation before it's even begun. "The house-elves are usually pretty prompt. And besides, by the time we've had a shower and got dressed it's time for breakfast anyway." I admit, when I first came to Hogwarts I thought it was a bit strange to get washed and dressed before having breakfast, since back home I'd eat breakfast first, but I've got used to it now. And I wouldn't dream of coming down to the Great Hall in my pyjamas, like sometimes people do if they don't have classes first thing.
