Fred, Angelina, Alicia con't from above F: Fred was completely confused. He knew nothing about muggle history, the wizarding one was boring enough. So when Angelina started talking about Henry VIII he didn't know what was going on. But he too was glad Alicia and Katie were still in the room. Alicia was a friend of Sylvie's too.
"Why does it matter to you if I'm friends with her. Alicia's her friend as well."
Ange: "That's different," she said all too quickly. Angelina was finding it rather hard to not to just outright admit she was jealous of the prospect of another girl being important much less snogging him not that he'd said that. She got it in the subtext. And it wasn't just her. It could have really been any girl and she would have acted the same. She did happen to know a bit about history. Magical and Muggle. It helped that her dad was a Beefeater. She knew more than she wished she did sometimes. Context aside. She wasn't in the mood to argue about it. "But Forget I said anything all about it," she added after a moment crossing her arms.
F: "It shouldn't be." Fred argued. It was weird to argue with Angelina, it rarely happened unless it was a joke fight.
Fred couldn't forget she'd mentioned it though. It was weird, Angelina wasn't usually like this. He was a little confused.
Ange: "And I said I was finished discussing this," she said louder than she meant to. Temper. She had her father's temper. Which meant bad things when she was upset. She usually pushed it through on Quidditch though. She wasn't having this discussion tonight. Especially not in the Common Room. Especially not where Katie and Alicia would have to endure it. Maybe not ever. She didn't know. She didn't like acting like this.
She was putting herself in time out. "The Queen is excusing herself from the Round Table," she announced with a push of her hands up from the floor not really leaving her fort but going to be alone in her 'Quarters'. She could put her head together there.
Ali: Fred and Angelina may have been glad that Alicia and Katie were still in the room, but Alicia was starting to wish she was elsewhere. Can you say awkward moment? Talking about cuddle time and Lee's arse wasn't so bad, but Alicia really would've preferred to be left out of the Sylvie discussion... especially because she had a pretty good idea of why it bothered Angelina that Sylvie and Fred were friends -- or rather, that they'd messed around, as Fred had basically just admitted.
And now Angelina had stormed off. A small part of Alicia wanted to go after her, to remind her that she and Fred are best friends even if he can be a bit of an arse. And maybe to tell her that he obviously likes her, even if Angelina wouldn't believe Alicia.
But Alicia knew better than that. She knew Angelina better than that. And if Angelina needed some alone time to cool off, well, that's what her friends would give her.
So Alicia picked up a roll, shoved it in her mouth, and concentrated on the simple act of chewing.
F: Well that was one way to spoil a great evening...
Sighing Fred stood up. "I'm going to go to bed. See you all later." he said before crawling out of the fort and heading towards his dorms. At least George and Lee wouldn't go mental at him for anything. Plus it was probably best to leave Angelina be for a while.
