Elizabeth & Aiden A.
11-02-2007 Elizabeth Marceau and Aiden Avery
Who: Elizabeth Marceau and Aiden Avery
When: Halloween night at the end of the party
Where: Great Hall to the Slytherin House
What: The dates finish off their last dance and head back to their House
Rating: TBA
Elizabeth was quite relieved that she had been dancing with her actual date again -- not the one that the Headmaster had chosen, not the ones who wished were her dates, but the one she had said yes to.. Aiden. As if hanging with him before the ball hadn't been enough, they had just finished off the last dance for the night and it was time to head back to the dorms.
At least she was going to be accompanied up there by her date. After moving closer to him at the end of their dance, Elizabeth smiled and reached up to kiss him on the cheek. Obviously, she had been having fun.. and she had made sure her thoughts didn't move back to Kevin the Git she had run into earlier. "You are such a wonderful dancer, Aiden," she said, moving her mouth closer to his ear to say it. Last dance or not, music was still playing pretty loudly. But it didn't take it long to end... after which the Great Hall was considerable quieter albeit the hum of the remaining students.
Aiden smiled and bents down just a touch for her kiss and compliment.
"Ah, I can only be a wonderful dancer if my partner is, no?" He said, twirling Elizabeth around once more.
He has spent his night, mostly without his lovely date, and dancing with other girls as well - notably Dyan and Belle - but he was more than pleased to have spent a good deal of time with Elizabeth while he could. She was, after all, his date and belonged at his side when they left for the evening.
"I suppose they will tell us to go promptly back to our common rooms and then to bed, but how about we ignore that?" He held her hands closely, and tried to look as charming as possible. Usually he'd have already attempted to make a move for broom closet; but there was always some sort of sweetness in Elizabeth that had stopped him from doing that for nearly seven years now. He shook it off, she was just a girl, and nothing more.
Elizabeth giggled slightly as he spun her around, once more, only glad to do so and cause her dress to flare up slightly. They looked just about perfect together, probably the most best dressed there. Well, maybe not, but Elizabeth was always inclined to believe that.
She was nowhere close to being tired and while going back to their commons was probably what they would tell them to do, she was hesitant in doing so. It was too early to end the fun. "Sounds like a marvelous plan. Do ye have some'zing in mind?"
"We could walk the grounds until someone catches us, and then perhaps scare all the firsties out of the common room? Only if you'd like, of course."
He walked with her as the crowd of students sluggishly filed out of the great hall, making their time last as long as they could. Whether or not the ball, and the mask situation was a success would surly be the talk of the halls tomorrow. However, the rest of the night was theirs, and morning classes were much less important.
"We can do whatever you'd like."
If it had been completely up to Elizabeth, she wouldn't have wanted to go to classes the next morning. Staying up till 3 in the morning was much more pleasurable and then sleeping in. Pity boys were not allowed in their dorms.
As they walked, Elizabeth moved closer to him and slipped an arm around his waist. "A walk would be splendid. Preferably some place we would not be caught so easily. And afterwards, we can sit together in 'ze commonroom."
Aiden smirked at the 'not be caught so easily' comment, and followed her lead and rested his arm behind her back an on her hip. He removed the mask he'd worn for the past few hours, noting that it was his own mask still.
"Well then, let us follow the crowd out, and slip away down another hall before anyone notices." He intended to have them end up outside, if it wasn't too chilly. They could walk, and chat, and pehaps he'd chance a kiss if she seemed interested.
Elizabeth nodded curtly, smiling at the idea of the plan. This was exactly what she had wanted... to get alone time with Aiden. Sure, he may have been dancing with other girls which she might not have liked but that didn't matter anymore. (Nor did it matter that she was dancing with Kevin.)
As the crowd moved, Elizabeth followed but slowly, so most of the students would walk past them. Just when they reached a fork in the middle of the hallway, Elizabeth promptly moved aside, taking the alternate route rather than the path the other students were going. As quick as she could, she grabbed Aiden's hand to pull him into the shadows with him.
